Translating research breakthroughs into more effective treatments remains one of Sylvester’s highest priorities. Clinical trials—research studies used to answer specific questions about new therapies or new ways of using known therapies—allow patients to participate in the newest treatments in development. In May 2005—as an outgrowth of its participation in the Florida Cancer Clinical Trials Cooperative—Sylvester launched its own Clinical Trial Matching Service, which is designed to provide a fast, simple, and confidential way to obtain information about clinical trials in South Florida, and throughout the state and nation.
Search for clinical trials by diagnosis online through Sylvester’s Clinical Trial Matching Service or call 866-574-5124 between 8:30 a.m. and 6 p.m., EST (except holidays).
