In order to stay abreast of the research curve, UM/Sylvester hosts an annual retreat to foster translational research collaboration between clinical investigators and basic scientists. UM/Sylvester also has an active role in the development of the Florida Cancer Conference, Inter-American Breast Cancer Conference, and the AACR Translational Cancer Medicine Series.
