Sylvester and the Village of Merrick Park kick-off the holiday season with a bang at the bi-annual Party in the Park on Thursday, November 29, 2007. Eleven cancer survivors served as fashion models and escorted their Sylvester physicians down the catwalk. Event attendees enjoyed the runway show, unique libations, stylish food, and a live auction in a beautiful tropical setting.  The event was chaired by Rick Morgan of Buchanan Ingersoll & Rooney PC, with more than 500 guests in attendance.

All proceeds from Party in the Park will support cancer research at Sylvester.
Party in the Park is the signature event for Sylvester’s generous giving society, Friends for Sylvester.  Friends for Sylvester is a group of active, involved community leaders committed to the ongoing search for a cancer cure. Friends for Sylvester members act as ambassadors for Sylvester and each pledge $10,000 to be paid over a maximum of ten years.
