Psychosocial Services
Recognizing the important role emotional health can have on the body’s ability to fight disease, UM/Sylvester created the Courtelis Center for Psychosocial Oncology. The Courtelis Center helps you explore ways to cope with life-threatening illness – physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually – by offering a wide range of services including:
- Acupuncture
- Educational classes
- Group counseling
- Individual and family counseling
- Pastoral counseling
- Psychiatric medication consultations
- Relaxation, meditation, and guided imagery
- Volunteer services
Services are also available upon request at the UM/Sylvester at Deerfield Beach location.
