Breast Cancer
A diagnosis of breast cancer and the treatments and therapies that follow can be distressing, and often present patients, their friends, and families with a number of physical and emotional challenges. Cancer support groups can provide a venue to share these experiences with cancer.
As part of our commitment to patient care, the Braman Family Breast Cancer Institute at Sylvester offers support groups and psychosocial services to breast cancer patients and their families. We understand that having breast cancer poses many challenges, which is why we offer every possible resource to help maximize a patient’s chance for recovery and improve quality of life. We focus on helping patients maintain their psychological health and promote thriving.
Breast cancer support groups offer a range of services from lectures, networking, and workshops to meditation, potluck dinners, and entertainment. Finding a community of people with whom you can share your concerns, questions, and feelings can make a big difference.
